The Bosch Rotak 36 lawnmower is identical in every way to its smaller brother, the Rotak 34, except for a 2cm wider cutting width and 200g extra weight. This extra width cuts more grass in one pass, allowing you to finish the job quicker. It should be noted however, the wider cutting width is gained at the expense of manoeuvrability around the garden.
The Bosch Rotak 36 lawnmower features unique grass combs, helping you cut the lawn perfectly right up to the edge of your garden. The powerful 1400watt Bosch motor gives a good cutting performance, and can even deal with grass up to 30 cm long due to its high torque.
In addition to the innovative grass combs, it features a selection of carrying handles making lifting from one place to another easy, especially considering its weight of just 11.2kg, which is still much lighter than similar lawnmowers in its class.
One of the best features on the Rotak 36 is a 10 position cutting height adjustment, which is an essential feature for maintaining a well looked after lawn. Heights between 2cm and 7cm can be selected.

A 12 metre cable length ensures enough reach for the average sized garden, if however, an outdoor power supply is a problem for you, or your lawn is longer than 12 metres, you should consider a different model, or wireless option.

Bought this mower two years ago. It went well, in fact was the best small mower I've used. Then it simply stopped working, for no obvious cause, and of course it's now out of guarantee.
Reading the other reviews I realise that the build quality is an issue, and that I was relatively lucky to get two years out of the machine. I also had a few expensive attempts to phone Bosch, but to no avail.

I so regret buying this mower..I used it twice and just like Ronald Kay - the motor stopped working..I stupidily decide to unscrew the mower to see if I could replace the drive belt, but in the end it just all fell apart and on top of that I void my warranty..In all honesty when it did worked, really enjoyed usuing the mower; however built quality is clearly and issue with this mower. I hope that this review helps someone and happy mowing.

Was going to buy the Rotak 40 but have some tricky areas of the lawn so I wanted something more manoeuvrable so I plumped for the smaller Rotak 34. Easily assembled and does to job very well. No complaints...but it's still early days. 4 stars because the power switch could be more ergonomic.

Bought this mower in mid August 2010.
Carefully used it on three occasions between then and 27 September 2010 when it ceased to function (motor turned blade did not) Tried to contact Bosch collections, after a delay of eight minutes premium rate call not answered so Ireturned mower to store from where it was purchased and was given a full refund
