The Bosch Rotak 40 electric lawnmower slashes through the longest of grass with its powerful 1700W Bosch Powerdrive motor.
A step up in power from the smaller Rotak 34, 36 and 37 models, the Rotak 40 not only gives more power, but also has a large 40cm cutting width, making it particularly suitable for medium, and even large, sized lawns.
The cutting height has 10 settings, adjustable from 2cm to 7cm, giving you the flexibility to just trim your lawn for a first cut, or maintain a much shorter length over time.
The grass box is also larger than the Rotak 34, 36 and 37 models, now holding up to 50 litres of grass, further minimising emptying trips. The extra benefits gained from the Bosch Rotak 40 surprisingly don't have such a big impact on its weight. Still extremely light for it's class, at 13.2kg.
It's clear that practicallity has been considered throughout the design of the Bosch Rotak 40, carrying handles allow you to transport the lawnmomwer around the garden with relative ease. In addition, the Rotak 40 also features innovative Bosch grass combs, allowing a maximum possible cutting width to be achieved, close to the edge of your lawn.
All Rotak 40 models come with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty.

Have owned the bosch rotak 40 for two years,with sporadic use,the electric motor is siezed,despite careful storage and maintenance ,im an engineer,have stripped it down ,unable to get it working,looks like its destined for the tip!buyer beware

As a follow up. 2nd motor in it has packed up again, just out of warranty.
Customer service I can't fault, the product I can.
The reviews seem littered with similar complaints.
Replaced it with a cheaper but superior Flymo and no complaints.

after two dry years in East Anglia with mowing very rarely (once a month)the Bosch mower has just seized up solid.
Hardly used, it has to be a waste of money and poor design mechanics or electrics but what other mower is there to replace it?

I am quite literally bowled over by this rotary machine, the ease of use and the results I've achieved, and indeed the time saved mowing. I paid over £300 for an excellent quality Qualcast electric mower 2 years ago, but this mower blows it away, in performance and ease of use.
UNBELIEVABLE. The question is, how long will it last...it is plastic for goodness sake !!!!!!

I have bought one of these for my Medium to Small garden after my Flymo burnt out. I have to say that I have been missing out. The Flymo was hard work, hacked the grass, rather than cut it and wasn't even very good on my steep front lawn!
This BOSCH blows it out of the water. Its powerful, easy and produces an excellent cut, even across steep ground. You can easily adjust the cut height and the grass collector really compacts the cuttings, meaning I can do the whole lawn without emptying. I was going to buy a Petrol Mower this time, but the Bosch is so light and relatively maintenance free, I don't think you'll find much to justify purchasing one of the competition.
One of the best bits of kit I have bought for exceeding my expectations. Great value for money!
