Using the very latest in lithium-ion battery technology, the Bosch Rotak 43 Li combines all the advantages of an electric lawnmower, with cordless usage. There's no petrol to worry about, no electric cables to get caught up in, and a relatively powerful 36V electric motor to slash through the longest of grass.
Unlike the 37 Li model which includes just one battery, each Rotak 43 Li comes with two 36V batteries, allowing continuous cutting across a larger area. Simply swap the batteries over when one becomes depleted. Two batteries, together with the wide 43cm cutting width, make the Bosch Rotak 43 Li suitable for the largest of lawns.
The lithium-ion batteries, capable of up to 700 recharging cycles, weighBosch Rotak 43 Li Battery just 1.2kg, and with a 1 hour charge, provide enough power to mow around 1000 square feet (typically 32ft x 32ft) each. It should be stated however, that longer, tougher vegetation will require more power, thus reducing the coverage area per charge.
Innovative grass combs are featured on the Rotak 43 Li, as with other Bosch models, to allow a close cut right to the edge of your lawn. In addition, at 14.7kg the Bosch Rotak 43 Li doesn't outweigh similar lawnmowers in its class, it's still possible to pick up and carry the 43 Li around the lawn using the integrated carrying handles.
7 heights of cut are selectable, from 3.5cm to 7cm, making the Rotak 43 Li flexible enough to meet your requirements. As with the Rotak 40, there's also a large 50 litre grass collection box mounted on the rear of the mower, reducing emptying trips, and an integrated rear roller, to create the striped effect across your lawn.

The battery failed after only about 3 mows and did not mow as much lawn as stated. I ended up charging 4 times to do a small lawn.
No FOC battery supplied, they wanted £267.00.for one.

Bought this because I have many Bosch products and have been impressed by all of them. This, however, seems a bit flimsy in construction compared with their usual standards. Nevertheless, it does a good job of mowing. Not really suitable for larger lawns - I need three battery charges for my 500sq metre lawn. The two batteries supplied last 25 mins each, enforcing a 35 min "coffee break" while the first battery finishes recharging and enables me to complete the lawn.
