In the Flymo Turbo Compact 330, the engineers at Flymo have come up with a multi featured lawnmower. It hovers, cuts, collects and compacts all in one.
Despite the Flymo Turbo Compact 330 being slightly on the heavy side for a hover mower, the powerful 1500 watt electric motor provides a good cushion of air for the lawnmower to float on, which still allows for good manoeuvrability, and powerful cutting.
The integrated grass collection box can hold up to 30 litres, and is designed to be easily removed and refitted again once emptied. In addition, the collection box on the Turbo Compact 330 also compacts the grass, allowing for a higher volume of grass to be carried before emptying is required. Note that although hover mowers can be operated in any direction, the grass collection works best when travelling forwards.
A 33cm cutting width and 12 metre electric cable makes the Flymo Turbo Compact 330 suitable for most small and medium sized lawns.
A metal blade is also fitted to all Flymo Turbo Compact 330 models as standard, delivering an improved cutting performance when compared to plastic blade alternatives.

Had it for three years and motor has just burned out. Heavy to use and not good at collecting grass.

Had it for 1 year and the belt broke. had to replace that. After 2 years the motor died as it has done with everyone else it seems (google search Compact 330 burnt out and you'll see!) I don't consider myself in any way mistreating the machine and some have opened up the thing and found a terrible design inside. Product of a consumer society I'm afraid with a 2 year life span. Beware.

My Flymo 330 burnt out after only two years use. It was too heavy and there were too many nooks and crannies for grass cuttings to collect. In use it often left clumps of grass. It should be far better designed for use. The replacement is to be a Bosch 320R.

I found the turbo compact 330 a nightmare to use, compared to my earlier 300 version. the 330 left trails of grass-cuttings, especially if the grass wasn't completely dry and if moss was present then foget about the hover mechanism - you need arms like popeye to physically push the machine around the garden.

My first flymo broke down after 2 years use or 2 summers worth of grass cutting which isn't a great deal of time. It was just as cheap to buy a new mower as repair but this latest mower has burnt out after just one year. These are not quality products. I've bought a Bosch instead now as they have far better reviews - but time will tell.
