Where Can I Buy The CONCORDE 32?

Qualcast CONCORDE 32 Description

So, on to the Qualcast Concorde 32. Let's look at a hypothetical situation. The mother-in-law is coming to visit next week, and rarely has the lawn ever looked so bad. It's so overgrown, a garden stroll is more like a trek through the Amazon.

Don't panic. A situation such as this one may just require a little more power than a basic hand mower can provide.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to reveal the Qualcast Concorde 32. As the entry level electric cylinder lawnmower, the Qualcast Concorde 32 offers a 400 watt electric motor, 32cm cutting width, 23 litre capacity grass box, and 12 metre long cable.

The Qualcast Concorde 32 also features a 'quattro-cut' four-blade cutting cylinder, increasing its effectiveness against thick, overgrown grass.

Whether just a trim is required, or a 'bald all over' (Britney Spears style) is more appealing, the Qualcast Concorde 32 should deliver. Flexible cutting heights range from 1.2cm to 4.2cm, giving complete control over the desired grass length.

In addition, the motor is designed to reduce power consumption as much as possible, not only making the Qualcast Concorde 32 one of the most efficient lawnmowers in its class, but also seriously minimising noise levels, to keep away those angry neighbours.

The Qualcast Concorde 32 also features: a full width rear roller, creating those beautiful stripe effects across any lawn, a foldaway handle for easy storing, and a five year parts and two year labour guarantee.

Oh, and it will also keep the mother-in-law happy!

I have used qualcast 32 which was replaced by the Elanfor many years now because I find they give the closest cut. I have end of terrace house with plenty of grass all round which is not of the best quality,as a result i fin the machine lasts me about 4 or 5 years. i am looking to replace it next yearbut have not seen one in the usual garden shops. Has qualcast been taken over by Flymo? George T Havant Hants

I have now had a Concord 32 for some seven years and the machine is still going strong. I get proper stripes on my lawn and an even cut. On this basis, it represents good value for money.

There is nothing fancy about the Concord 32 - it simply works. The cutting height adjustment is EXTREMELY simple. If you have a cross-head screwdriver and a brain, then fine-tuning the cutting edge to ensure that grass is CUT and not snagged is very straightforward.

It is also the case that you never cut using a cylinder mower when grass is wet. If you have long grass, then you will have to cut it at least twice, progressively reducing the cutting height. Cylinder mowers simply do not cut long grass at one cut in my experience - even using rotor mowers, it is necessary to go back and repeat the cut.

I really do have to question some of the previous postings on this website which give every impression of having been posted by people working for Bosch...

I used to use my grandad's metal Concorde 32, later inherited by my dad, and found it good, so I bought one. The current plastic one is junk. Fortunately dad gave me the metal one and all is well. However, the motor sounds like it's about to give up (well, wouldn't you after 30 years), so I'm wondering what to buy now. However, it definitely won't be a plastic Concorde 32. Go back to metal, Qualcast!

Bought one of these because ive worked really hard on my lawns and wanted to get the stripes and have no tearing.

Oh how disappointed i am. This thing is junk. If the grass is even midly damp it hacks it, flattens it, or jams up the blade. It cannot manage long blades of grass at all. It takes so long to cut the grass with this that it's become a real chore, and i've given up on the striping, as it simply does not do it very well at all.

I still remember the old qualcast adverts, those perfect lawns - believe me, this mower will not give you anything remotely like that.

Any brand kudos qualcast had created in my mind went out the window with this product. This is the first and last product they produce that i'll buy. Now i'm a 'dont buy a qualcast' evangelist.

Sad but true. Greatly disappointed.

Rolling the mother-in-law around the garden does a better job of the grass.

Every time I use this mower I hate it. I call it the 'Cast' mower - there's no 'Qual' about it. Even when new I've had to go over each bit of grass at least twice, which means no lines. It's a very flimsy design so that if you tilt it up, the blades grind on the bottom plate. And the handle flops about all over the place.

I am on my 3rd concorde 32 ELAN> I have found it to be the best mower I have ever owned. I have had many over 50 years of house owning. Will buy another as and when requires.

Even in the tiniest of gardens, this machine is of no use. Flattens, rather than cuts and very fiddly to change cutting height.
